What is Social Bookmarking?

Social Bookmarking has changed the way people experience and use the Internet by allowing users to store, rate, add comment and search links to any website, forum or blog.

With ever popular sites like, Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Squidoo, YouTube, Digg and many more...

Once you have created your account with one of these, you can add your own comments or articles, photos and so on. You publish your content online, then others can visit and link back to one of these sites, other users can then also read it as well as post comments and related links! Therefore, instead of a search engine like Google, you can find further interesting links through a sites community of users, thus transforming navigation of the Internet into more of a social environment! You will find it a very powerful way of staying in touch with friends or groups of interest.

We would advise everyone to visit the sites listed above, (not just their favourites) to learn more about their site features. They are all different, and some like MySpace who are great for musicians, offer different social features that may or may not be ideal to you.
