Slingbox is a compact and elegantly designed, state-of-the-art electronic device that connects to the back of your TV. It redirects, or “placeshifts,” the TV signal from your cable box, SKY Box, security camera, satellite receiver, or personal video recorder (PVR) to your computer or laptop of choice, no matter your location - so long as you have a high-speed Internet connection. This utterly unique device will transform the way you watch TV or Video. Whether you want to watch your soaps in the garden, or catch the big game during a conference call, or watch your local news from China, the power is now in your hands. It has it's own built in Digital DVB-T TV Tuner too.*

With a virtual wave of a magic wand, every computer can be transformed into your TV so long as there is a high-speed Internet connection. Now, you can watch live TV using the SlingPlayer software. Or control and manage your Hard Disk DVR or SKY Plus programmes from anywhere. The supplied software will need to be installed on the computer or laptop you intend to view from.

Are there any monthly fees?

No. With the Slingbox, you are simply streaming TV content you have already paid for via your TV license and satellite/cable/SKY connection. They are no further monthly fees and absolutely no subscription charges.

How does it work?

The Slingbox uses your existing wireless network to stream your content around the internet, making it available for access via your unique user ID. There are 3 simple steps in setting up your Slingbox:

1) Connect your Sky/Cable/Satellite box or video source to the Slingbox using a standard S Video connection lead.
2) Connect your Router/Modem Router to the Slingbox using an network patch cable.
3) Then, load the SlingPlayer software onto your PC/Laptop or PDA and set up your user account – and away you go!

Using patent pending algorthithms, SlingStream automatically adjusts compression level, video bit rate, frame rate, and other settings to create a continuous quality video experience. And SlingStream works regardless of the connection type.
