The SAPPHIRE range of DPF products is based on the latest digital TFT LCD technology with a brightness of 250cd/m2, bringing brighter, clearer image display than earlier analogue types. Three formats are available – 8 inch in 16:9 ratio with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, 8 inch in 4:3 ratio with a resolution of 800 x 600 pixels and a 10.2 inch model in 16:9 ratio with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. Designed to harmonise with any home or office environment, the clean styling features interchangeable bezels on both 8 inch models, giving users a choice of fitting five coloured surrounds bundled with the product. The 10 inch model has a black surround only. The displays can be used with a desktop stand (supplied) or easily wall hung in either landscape or portrait orientation.
Picture display formats include JPEG images as well as MPEG, DAT and AVI Videos. Built in amplifier and stereo speakers reproduce sound from video formats. Images can be loaded via the USB cable (supplied) or with the built in memory card reader which accepts all standard types – Compact Flash, SD, XD, Memory Stick and MMC with capacities from 32Mbytes up to 2Gbyte. A simple remote control allows the user to select files and display modes, including an automatic slide show feature. The complete retail package includes power supply, remote control, multi-language instruction manual and warranty documentation.
